This opportunity is for the design and installation of a backup generator system at Kirtland Air Force Base, supporting critical communication systems in Building 1043. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Air Force, Air Force Global Strike Command (AFGSC), 377th Air Base Wing, Kirtland AFB Civil Engineering Department - OEMs and Vendors: - Cummins/ONAN (preferred manufacturer for diesel generators) - Monaco Enterprises Inc. (preferred for fire alarm control panels) - Honeywell/Elster (preferred for exterior revenue metering) - Schneider Electric (preferred for interior revenue metering) - S&C Electric Company (PMH-style switches) - Products/Services Requested: - 25KW outdoor-rated diesel-fueled generator (Cummins/ONAN), with 72-hour sub-base fuel tank (Qty: 1) - 4-pole Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) (Qty: 1) - Ductless split HVAC systems for two communication rooms (Qty: 2) - Concrete pad/foundation for generator (Qty: 1) - Steel bollards for generator protection - Electrical components: feeders, branch circuits, grounding, panel upgrades - Security guard services for site access control - Design services (electrical, civil, structural, mechanical, architectural) - Construction, commissioning, and testing of all systems - Permitting (including Air Quality Permit), compliance with federal, state, and Air Force codes - Photo documentation, warranty, and closeout documentation - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Generator must provide 72-hour continuous operation - All work must comply with extensive Air Force, state, and federal codes - Air Quality Permit may require up to 12 months for approval before construction - Coordination with Kirtland AFB Civil Engineering and Operations Engineering is mandatory - Use of specific OEMs is preferred for key equipment (generator, fire alarm, metering) - Project includes both design and build phases, with phased submittals and government reviews - Security and access control measures required during construction

Description

This project will be located on Kirtland Air Force Base (AFB), New Mexico. The primary goal of this project is to provide the installation of generator backup power to 377 ABW communication systems in B1043. The contractor shall furnish all services, materials, supplies, equipment, permits, investigation, studies,specifications, drawings and supervision as required in connection with the Statement of Work (SoW) for the design, ordering and installation of a successful completed project. All work shall be in strict compliance with all applicable codes as adopted and modified by the State of New Mexico, Federal and Kirtland AFB building codes.
