Description

The National Science Foundation (NSF) is establishing a new matching program in accordance with the Privacy Act of 1974 and OMB guidance. This program involves computerized comparison of NSF benefits program records with the Department of the Treasury's Do Not Pay (DNP) Working System to identify and prevent improper payments. The matching program will verify prepayment or pre-award eligibility and conduct related recovery activities. The program is effective from August 12, 2026, through September 10, 2029.
