The Okanagan Basin Water Board (OBWB) is soliciting proposals for the manufacture, supply, related services, and delivery of a prototype Modular Mussel Eradication Station (MMES) to be used at highway inspection stations in Alberta for removing invasive mussels from watercraft. The OBWB has completed the design and engineering for the prototype, with detailed drawings and specifications provided in the RFP document. The selected supplier may be required to perform some design services or shop drawings prior to manufacturing. The OBWB has also issued separate RFPs for the supply of a barrel tank and a flat landing and exit ramp, which are long-lead time items intended to be contracted first and then novated to the MMES supplier.
