NASA Marshall Space Flight Center is seeking advanced development and optimization of laser powder bed fusion (L-PBF) processes for specialty nickel alloys. - Government Buyer: - National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) - Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) - OEMs and Vendors: - EOS (manufacturer of the M280 L-PBF system) - North American Manufacturing Pros LLC (sole source service provider) - Products and Services Requested: - Access to EOS M280 laser powder bed fusion system for 432 hours over 6 months - Supply of 200 kg of nickel-based alloy powders (including Ni-201, NASA GRX-810, alloy 625, Haynes 230) - Development and optimization of L-PBF process parameters for these alloys - Fabrication and mechanical testing (minimum 50 specimens) including tensile and fatigue tests - Powder development, certification, traceability, storage, and handling - Delivery of built components, test reports, and powder certifications - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Use of NASA-developed GRX-810 alloy - Mechanical testing and reporting per NASA requirements - Dedicated access to EOS M280 system for developmental use - Powder must conform to NASA-specified compositions and particle size distributions
Description
NASA/NSSC has a requirement for Powder Bed Fusion Development and Characterization of Specialty Ni Alloys.
NASA/NSSC intends to issue a sole source contract to North American Manufacturing Pros LLC under the authority of FAR 12.102(a). It has been determined that North American Manufacturing Pros LLC 29176 Al HWY 53 Ardmore Alabama 35739 United States is the sole provider of Powder Bed Fusion Development and Characterization of Specialty Ni Alloys
NASA/NSSC will be the procuring center for this effort. Performance will be located at NASA/ Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC). The Government intends to acquire Commercial items or services using the provisions, clauses and procedures prescribed in FAR Part 12 for Commercial

Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 3:00 p.m. Central Standard Time on 7/15/2026. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.
