SUNY Maritime College is seeking a qualified vendor to deliver US Coast Guard (USCG)-approved Marine Basic Fire Fighting Training for its cadets. - Government Buyer: - State University of New York (SUNY) Maritime College, Director of Purchasing - U.S. Coast Guard is referenced for course approval standards - Products/Services Requested: - USCG-approved Marine Basic Fire Fighting Training for approximately 24 cadets per session - Training must include hands-on fire fighting techniques, live fire exercises, and simulation sessions - Facility must simulate marine fire scenarios (engine room, multi-deck, oil fires, confined space entry) - Training must comply with USCG NVIC 08-14 guidelines - Vendor must provide and maintain fire fighting gear (bunker gear, SCBAs) - Facility must accommodate 20-24 cadets per session, offer weekend and multiple daily sessions, and be within a 3-hour drive of SUNY Maritime - Vendor must have at least 5 years of relevant experience - Includes comprehensive training and customer support for SUNY Maritime staff - Pre-employment background screening services for vendor staff - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Facility must be USCG-approved and capable of realistic marine fire simulations - Contract term is five years, with options for two additional one-year renewals - MWBE goals: 15% MBE, 15% WBE - Vendor must provide, clean, and maintain all fire fighting gear - No specific OEMs are named; opportunity is open to any qualified training organization meeting USCG standards
