SUNY Maritime College is seeking a five-year contract for US Coast Guard (USCG) approved Marine Advanced Fire Fighting Training for its cadets. - Government Buyer: - State University of New York (SUNY) Maritime College, Director of Purchasing, Bronx, NY - U.S. Coast Guard is also referenced as a standards authority - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs are named; vendors must provide USCG-approved fire fighting gear and simulation equipment - Products/Services Requested: - USCG-approved Marine Advanced Fire Fighting Training for cadets (compliant with NVICs 08-14 and 09-14) - Includes both basic and advanced courses - Hands-on fire fighting techniques, live fire exercises, simulation sessions (engine room, multi-deck, oil fires, confined space entry) - STCW Assessments and certification - Training for approximately 24 cadets per session, up to 20 sessions per semester - Facility must be USCG-approved, within 3 hours of SUNY Maritime, and accommodate weekend/multiple daily sessions - Fire fighting gear (bunker gear, SCBA) for up to 50 cadets, including cleaning and storage - Pre-employment background screening services for staff - Training and customer support for SUNY Maritime staff - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Facility must maintain USCG site approval and comply with CDC, USCG, NY State, and local safety protocols - MWBE participation goals: 15% MBE, 15% WBE - Vendor must have at least five years of relevant experience - Proximity requirement: facility within 3-hour drive of college - Past contracts awarded to Fire Department of New York - Compliance with New York State Lobbying Law and vendor responsibility documentation
