This notice announces the Department of Veterans Affairs' intent to award a sole source contract to Teleflex LLC for preventive maintenance and repair services for two Teleflex AC3 Series Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps at the Wilkes Barre VA Medical Center. - Sole source procurement to Teleflex LLC, the OEM for the AC3 Series Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps - Services include preventive and corrective maintenance, 24/7 technical support, system recertification, and software updates - Contract covers two pumps (serial numbers 2501265F and 2503056F) - Only OEM parts and qualified Field Service Engineers are acceptable - Compliance with VA and federal standards is required - The contract is structured as a base year with two option years - No other vendors or products are considered acceptable for this requirement - Procurement will be conducted under commercial procedures (FAR Part 12)

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE: IAW FAR 5.101 this notice is to advise the public that the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Regional Procurement Office East (RPOE), Network Contracting Office 4 (NCO 4) intends to award a sole source firm fixed price contract pursuant to FAR 6.103-1 Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements, using the commercial procedures of FAR Part 12, with Teleflex LLC, located at 3015 Carrinton Mill Blvd. Morrisville, NC 27560 for a one-time firm fixed price contract.

The Wilkes Barre VA Medical Center has a need for preventive maintenance and repairs to two (2) Teleflex AC3 Series Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps. These pumps provide a microprocessor-controlled cardiac support, delivering counter-pulsation therapy to stabilize patients with impaired left ventricular function.
