Orleans Parish Water Main Replacement and Extension Project

The Sewerage & Water Board of New Orleans is seeking bids for a major water infrastructure project involving the replacement and extension of water main lines across Orleans Parish. - Government Buyer: - Sewerage & Water Board of New Orleans, Purchasing Department - Products and Services Requested: - Supply and installation of PVC and polyethylene water main lines (notably 8" and 12" PVC CL-150) - Water main offsets with ductile iron (D.I.) fittings - Contractor-supplied fire hydrants (5"), including tie-ins - Wide range of water valves (from 4" up to 48") with D.I. fittings and tie-ins - Construction of new water valve manholes - Plugging and filling existing water mains (4" to 16") with flowable material - Water service connections using both open cut and jacking methods (1", 1.5", and 2" polyethylene pipes) - Installation of 3" PVC conduit for water service - Meter box adjustments, replacements, and cleaning - Permitting and traffic control for work on both state and local roads - Restoration of pavement, driveways, sidewalks, curbs, and handicap ramps - Quantities: - 1000 LF of 8" PVC water main, 650 LF of 12" PVC water main, multiple valves and hydrants, and extensive restoration work - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Contractor must supply fire hydrants (not owner-furnished) - Potential for large-diameter valve replacements without corresponding main replacements - Strict adherence to safety, environmental, and DBE participation requirements - All quantities are estimated; payment based on actual verified quantities - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the solicitation, but products must meet board approval and industry standards.
