The Ohio Department of Youth Services (DYS) is soliciting bids for the procurement and delivery of three construction trailers for use at juvenile correctional facilities. - Government Buyer: - Ohio Department of Youth Services (DYS) - Products Requested: - Three construction trailers, each with: - Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR): 9,899 lbs - Payload capacity: 7,019 lbs - Dual 5,200 lb electric/spring axles - Demco EZ Latch adjustable 2 5/16" ball coupler - Safety chains, drop-leg jack, slipper spring suspension - Black mod wheels, radial tires, electric breakaway kit - Rubrail and stake pockets, steel fenders - Dovetail with fold-up ramps, treated pine lumber deck - LED lights, all-weather wiring harness, powder coated finish - Axle warranty, welded D-rings - Delivery Requirements: - One trailer delivered to each of the following facilities: - Circleville Juvenile Correctional Facility - Cuyahoga Hills Juvenile Correctional Facility - Indian River Juvenile Correctional Facility - Delivery, setup, and warranty must be included - Shipping costs must be included in the quoted price - Award Criteria: - Award to lowest responsive and responsible bidder, including all delivery and warranty costs - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the solicitation - Notable Requirements: - All technical specifications must be met - Pricing must be held firm for 60 days after bid submission

DYS Construction is seeking 3 construction trailers with specific features including 9899lbs GVWR, payload of 7019 lbs, electric/spring axles, safety chains, drop-leg jack, slipper spring suspension, black mod wheels, radial tires, electric breakaway kit, rubrail and stake pockets, steel fenders, dovetail with fold-up ramps, treated pine lumber deck, LED lights, all-weather wiring harness, powder coated finish, axle warranty, and welded D-rings. One trailer will be delivered to each of three juvenile correctional facilities in Ohio: Circleville, Highland Hills, and Massillon. The solicitation requires the cost of shipping to be included in the total quoted price. Award will be based on the lowest quote for the entire bid and the most responsive and responsible bidder including delivery, setup, and warranty if applicable.
