Description
Joint Base Charleston is seeking manufactures of remote generator monitoring systems and associated services. See attachments for specifics.
This project will procure and install a remote monitoring system for 65 generators across Joint Base Charleston's four geographically separated locations. This system is a data acquisition platform and will be integrated into the existing EMCS architecture, providing instant, centralized notification of any electrical or generator failures. This directly enhances base resiliency by replacing slow, manual inspection processes with real-time situational awareness, allowing for rapid response to power disruptions and ensuring mission continuity. The MP has provided that 18 generator systems have confirmed communication capability compatible with Monico integration. An additional 7 units are believed to be compatible but require additional discovery and confirmation. Approximately 40 units have been identified as older Cummins generators which may or may not currently have the required Cummins network cards and commissioned Cummins ProtoNode gateways installed and operational.
