Description
This project involves the purchase and upgrade of a Siemens Terra.X 7 Tesla whole-body human MRI scanner at the Athinoula A. Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging, Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston. The new system will support NIH-funded research, including clinical and translational studies of the central nervous system, imaging of the throat, knee, skeletal muscle, and brain mapping, as well as multinuclear spectroscopy and instrumentation development. The upgrade aims to enhance performance, standardize workflows, improve support, and enable PET/MR hybrid imaging with a next-generation removable PET camera.
