The USGS, Cooperative Research Units in Reston, VA, supporting the Ecosystems Mission Area requests the purchases of an equal to or larger than 18-ft long and 60-inch bottom width jetboat, with an equal to or larger 4-stroke Mercury 80hp jet engine, and a trailer with all associated towing accessories (i.e., tie straps, lights, winch). The primary use is to support the field program of the California Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit for sampling fishes and associated habitats in a variety of freshwater systems pursuant to research objectives associated with fisheries management and conservation, aquatic sciences, resource conservation, and to support the regulatory responsibilities of the Bureau of Reclamation¿s Klamath Fall area office.
