The Town of Leader is initiating a public works project to upgrade water infrastructure on 3rd Street East. - Government Buyer: - Town of Leader, represented by Erin Romanuik, CAO - Scope of Work: - Excavation and replacement of approximately 136 meters of 6-inch watermain pipe - Replacement of 5 residential water service connections (4 on the west side, 1 on the east side) - Installation of 1 fire hydrant with valve and rod box - Replacement of 2 valves with rod boxes - Complete line locates, removal and disposal of asphalt and concrete, and site restoration - All piping and connectors will be supplied by the Town - Contractors must provide fill dirt and gravel; the Town supplies sand and PVC pipe - Strict adherence to the Town's Soil Compaction Policy for backfilling and compaction - Visual inspection of all pipe and connections by the Town prior to backfilling - Products/Services Requested: - Mobilization & demobilization, watermain excavation, installation of watermain, pipe bedding material, trench backfill, compaction, residential water services, fire hydrant installation, watermain testing & flushing, pavement removal, and other related charges - Unique Requirements: - Compliance with detailed soil compaction and backfilling standards - All measurements are estimates; final inspection required before backfilling - Bids must be submitted electronically - No specific OEMs or commercial vendors are named in the solicitation

This solicitation is for the excavation and replacement of approximately 136 meters of 6-inch watermain pipe on the 100 block of 3rd Street East in the Town of Leader.
