The County of San Mateo is seeking proposals from qualified Third-Party Administrators (TPA) to provide Workers’ Compensation Claims Management and Managed-Care Cost Containment Services for its self-insured Workers' Compensation Program. The services will cover all new and existing claims, with approximately 694 open claims currently. The County employs about 7,250 employees across 29 departments and requires a staffing proposal including Claims Supervisors, Senior Claims Examiners, and other roles. The scope includes administrative services, claims administration, claims system and data management, transition and continuity planning, and pricing based on caseloads.
