Description

In accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA), the U.S. Department of Defense, Department of the Navy, and the Autry Museum of the American West have completed an inventory of human remains and associated funerary objects. They have determined a cultural affiliation between these remains and objects and certain Indian Tribes or Native Hawaiian organizations. The notice includes details about the human remains and associated funerary objects, their origins, and the affiliated tribes. Repatriation of these items may occur on or after August 7, 2026.
