Wakulla County Board of County Commissioners is seeking bids for the construction of a new multipurpose path along Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Road. - Project scope: - Construction of an approximately 1.115 mile-long, 8-foot wide paved (asphalt) multipurpose off-road path - Path location: South side of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Road, from Rehwinkel Road to Mallard Pond Circle - Includes earthwork, asphalt paving, and concrete work (sidewalks, curb and gutter, drainage structures) - All work must comply with FDOT and Local Agency Program (LAP) Division 1 Specifications - No specific OEMs or named vendors are required; bidders must be qualified Florida businesses - Notable requirements: - Compliance with federal and state regulations, including Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) participation and wage determinations - Mandatory pre-bid conference for all prospective bidders - Liquidated damages of $1,609 per day for late completion - Project identified as FDOT Project Number 451725-1-58-01 and Federal ID # D325-065-B - Substantial completion required within 180 days of Notice to Proceed; final completion within 210 days

Wakulla County is soliciting bids for the construction of a multipurpose path along Dr. MLK Jr. Memorial Road. This is a rebid of a previous invitation to bid (ITB 2026-07). A mandatory pre-bid conference is scheduled for July 16, 2026, at 10:00 A.M. EST at the Wakulla County Board of County Commissioners Administration Office. The contract will commence upon approval of the Board of County Commissioners and issuance of a Notice to Proceed. Bidders must submit proposals as defined by the ITB and comply with all requirements and specifications.
