SACOG is seeking consultant services to support its Trails Technical Assistance Program, which aims to accelerate the development and construction of a regional trail network across six counties in the Sacramento area. - Government Buyer: - Sacramento Area Council of Governments (SACOG), acting as a Joint Powers Authority for El Dorado, Placer, Sacramento, Sutter, Yolo, and Yuba counties - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the solicitation - Products/Services Requested: - Technical assistance for up to 25 trail projects over two years - Engineering-focused support including grant writing, cost estimation, high-level design, project ideation, community engagement strategy, and planning concept development - Facilitation of a Regional Trails Working Group, including meeting management and documentation - Evaluation and reporting services, including a final program assessment and presentation to the SACOG board - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Emphasis on experience with trail infrastructure implementation and multi-jurisdictional regulatory complexities - Demonstrated ability to provide technical assistance in disinvested communities - Multidisciplinary teams with expertise in active transportation planning and implementation are encouraged - Consultant will deliver a work plan, ongoing technical assistance, facilitate working group meetings, and provide a final evaluation report
