Description

This action was awarded as an 8(a) Sole Source Set-Aside under the authority of section 8(a) of the Small Business Act.

Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision required for the purchase and construction of a 30 ft. x 60 ft. metal equipment structure located at Conchas Dam, New Mexico. The Pre-engineered Metal Building package shall have Professional Engineer stamped drawings certifying the building fit, form, and function. Subgrade and Compaction: The Contractor shall scarify, compact, and grade the subgrade in preparation for the concrete footer. Soil must be compacted to a minimum of 95% of its maximum dry density as determined by standard testing methods. As a condition precedent to the placement of any concrete, the Contractor shall conduct soil compaction testing through an independent, qualified testing laboratory. A certified report detailing all test locations, methods, and results shall be formally submitted to the Government Representative.Perimeter Footings with Piers: The Contractor shall be responsible for the complete design and construction of a reinforced concrete footer system adequate to support the steel equipment structure.Foundation and Anchoring: Structural columns shall be anchored to pier foundations on the concrete footer. The foundation design must meet the building manufacturer’s recommendations and be stamped by a Professional Engineer
