The USDA Agricultural Research Service (ARS) is seeking a contractor to provide phage library screening services for the National Bio and Agro-Defense Facility (NBAF). - Government Buyer: - USDA Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Foreign Animal Disease Research Unit at NBAF, and ARS Acquisition and Property Division - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or commercial vendors are named; the requirement is for specialized laboratory services - Products/Services Requested: - Phage library screening services to identify peptide sequences that bind to bovine and porcine receptors - Purchase and use of phage display libraries - Protein quality control (QC), target immobilization, negative and positive phage selection, amplification, sequencing, and affinity testing - Delivery of 612 candidate peptide sequences with associated amino acid and nucleotide sequences, plus raw data - Minimum of 50,000 next-generation sequencing (NGS) reads per protein per library - Up to 6 units of "One Phage Display Library and Library Screening Service for One Protein" and 3 units of general phage library screening service - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Contractor must renounce intellectual property (IP) rights; USDA will own all IP - USDA will provide purified proteins for screening - Strict deliverable timelines for each phase (QC, immobilization, selection, testing, and final data delivery) - Small business set-aside; only small business sources may submit quotations

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12.  This announcement constitutes the only solicitation.  Quotations are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued.
