The USDA National Centers for Animal Health is seeking a contractor to replace cooling tower media and associated components in six two-cell Marley NC8310H2BM cooling towers at Building 154. - Government Buyer: - US Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS), National Centers for Animal Health, ARS Acquisition and Property Division - OEMs and Vendors: - Marley (OEM for cooling tower components: MX75 fill, TU12X drift eliminators, ST nozzles) - Products/Services Requested: - Replacement of Marley MX75 fill material (6 sets) - Replacement of Marley TU12X drift eliminators (6 sets) - Replacement of Marley ST short nozzles (144 units) - Replacement of stainless steel fill area casing panels (192 units) - Replacement of stainless steel fill tubes (192 units) - Replacement of various stainless steel support structures, water deflectors, drain trays, water diverters, and drift eliminator supports/retainers - Mechanical preventive maintenance on six towers (including driveshaft, gearbox, oil, lube lines, shaft alignment, fan pitch/tip clearance, and reporting) - Repair of FRP inner fan cylinder on one cell - Unique/Notable Requirements: - All work must be phased to maintain cooling tower operations during the project - Compliance with safety and environmental standards is mandatory - Submission of safety, quality, and construction plans required - Mandatory site visit for offerors - Detailed technical and past performance information required from bidders - Project is set aside for small businesses under NAICS 236220 - Estimated contract value between $1 million and $5 million

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12.  This announcement constitutes the only solicitation.  Proposals are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued.
