NOAA's National Data Buoy Center at Stennis Space Center, MS, is seeking a small business contractor for comprehensive forklift maintenance and repair services. - Government Buyer: - National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Data Buoy Center, Eastern Acquisition Division - OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) of Forklifts: - Hyundai (Model: 45D-9A) - Caterpillar (Model: DP-45) - Kalmar (Model: P-50BX) - Clark (Model: CMP30L) - Toyota (Model: 8FGDU25, two units) - Services Requested: - Preventive maintenance and on-call repair services for a fleet of forklifts from the above OEMs - Mobile mechanic support, including routine maintenance, emergency repairs (within 5 days), and hazardous waste removal - Provision of all labor, tools, equipment, transportation, supervision, and safety gear - Maintenance plans, inspection checklists, and detailed maintenance reports - Certified forklift mechanics required - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Compensation is via predetermined hourly labor rates for repairs; parts are invoiced separately - Compliance with Department of Labor Service Contract Act Wage Determination - Adherence to labor standards and sexual harassment prevention policies - Evaluation based on personnel qualifications, technical approach, past performance, and price - Contractor must be registered in SAM - Period of Performance: - Base year plus four option years (total up to five years) - Monthly preventative maintenance and as-needed repairs throughout contract duration

Description

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) intends to award a firm fixed price contract as a Total Small Business set-aside for a base and four option years of Forklift Maintenance and repair services for the National Data Buoy Center at Stennis Space Center, MS.The Government intends to make an award to the responsive responsible quoter providing the best value in accordance with FAR 12.203(c)(2).

DOC, Eastern Acquisition Division requires that all contractors doing business with this office be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM). No award can be made to a company not registered in SAM. Contractors active in SAM have a unique entity identifier (UEI) that is used to do business with the federal government. The Government has moved to a free new, non-proprietary identifier that will have to be requested in, and assigned by, the System for Award Management (SAM.gov).
