Description

The U.S. Department of State, U.S. Consulate General Naha is soliciting proposals for a cooperative agreement to conduct two disaster preparedness forums, one on Okinawa main island and one on Miyako Island, over a 15-month period. The project aims to enhance disaster preparedness and crisis response capacity across Okinawa and the Southwest Islands through expert-led interactive forums that promote U.S.-Japan cooperation on emergency management. The forums will include presentations, tabletop exercises, and planning activities, culminating in action plans and post-forum reports identifying lessons learned and gaps.
