The Bureau of Land Management's Office of Wildland Fire is seeking information from vendors about providing heavy, twin-engine helicopters for fire suppression and natural resource activities. - Government Buyer: - Bureau of Land Management, Office of Wildland Fire - Products/Services Requested: - Up to four heavy (Type 1) twin-engine helicopters - Helicopters must be contractor-operated and maintained - Must meet 14 CFR Part 29 standards or equivalent - Seating for 12 insured passengers (excluding pilots) - Two turbine engines, wheeled landing gear with shock-absorbing struts - Dual aft sliding doors, certified cargo hook installation - Self-sealing fuel tanks with breakaway valves/lines - Standard or restricted category certification - Advanced maintenance systems (Health Management System or Integrated Vehicle Health Management System) - Three configuration options based on gross weight, cargo hook capacity, engine type, year of manufacture, and cockpit technology - Target capabilities: BLR FastFin or equivalent, external hoist, external basket, Fast Rope Insertion/Extraction System (FRIES), landing gear rated for >10 g impact, Wheelski or equivalent STC-approved system - Quantities: - Up to 4 helicopters - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Aircraft must be capable of operating in austere environments - Exclusive use period of approximately 180 days - No specific OEMs or models are named; vendors must indicate their ability to supply helicopters meeting these detailed requirements

Description

Vendors are specifically requested to indicate whether they can provide one to four (1¿4) aircraft, each meeting the minimum specifications outlined below. These aircraft will be used to provide fully contractor operated and contractor-maintained helicopter services supporting fire suppression and natural resource activities, utilizing aircraft that meet 14 CFR Part 29 standards (or equivalent) and comply with the Office of Wildland Fire¿s operational requirements.
