The City of Port Alberni is initiating a Residential Water Meter Replacement Program to upgrade its residential water metering infrastructure. - Government Buyer: - City of Port Alberni - Products and Services Requested: - Supply and installation of approximately 3,775 new residential water meters - Supply and installation of 3,775 Itron 100W ERTs (Encoder Receiver Transmitters) - Recordkeeping and coordination of installation appointments with homeowners - Safe removal and return of old meters to the City - All work must be performed in a safe and professional manner - OEMs and Vendors: - Itron (specified for 100W ERTs) - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Contractor must manage all homeowner coordination and recordkeeping - All removed meters must be returned to the City - The project is to be completed over a three-year period - Quantities: - 3,775 residential water meters - 3,775 Itron 100W ERTs

Description

The City of Port Alberni is seeking qualified and experienced firms to supply and replace approximately 3,775 existing residential water meters over a three-year period. The contractor will supply and install new residential water meters and Itron 100W ERTs, complete all required recordkeeping, coordinate appointments with homeowners, return all removed meters to the City, and perform the work safely and professionally. The opportunity is open for submissions until August 10, 2026.
