The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), part of the Department of the Interior, is seeking vendors to replace acid-resistant polycarbonate fume hood sashes in four active research laboratories at the J.W. Powell Federal Building in Reston, VA. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) - Contact: Brian Baker - Products/Services Requested: - Replacement of 6 acid-resistant polycarbonate fume hood sashes - For fume hoods in rooms 3D327, 3C230, 3C239, 4B220, and 5B315 - Includes removal of existing chemically etched glass sashes, installation of new sashes, and proper disposal of old sashes - Non-OEM sashes are acceptable if compatible with existing hoods - Associated services: - Safety hazard identification and mitigation - Scheduling to minimize research disruption - Development and approval of safety plans - Hazardous waste disposal - Final acceptance testing to ensure 100 fpm face velocity - Project closeout deliverables: safety plans, schedules, shop drawings, as-built drawings, warranties, and training for government personnel - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Sashes must be acid-resistant polycarbonate due to exposure to Hydrofluoric, Nitric, and Hydrochloric acids - One-year warranty on labor and materials - Work must comply with safety standards and be performed during normal building hours - Final acceptance testing required for proper operation and safety compliance

Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial product/service prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This Request for Quotation (RFQ) constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation is being issued, which can be found on www.sam.gov. The solicitation number is 140G0126Q0174 and is issued as an RFQ. The US Geological Survey (USGS) is requesting discounted open-market firm-fixed price quotation packages for to replace fume hood sashes, in accordance with Functional and Technical Requirements located in RFQ. The posted RFQ contains the instructions to vendors, Functional & Technical Requirements, and applicable clauses. All vendors who can meet this requirement and are registered in the System for Award Management are invited to submit electronic quotes for this posted RFQ.
