The Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities (DOT&PF) is seeking on-call towing and recovery services to support roadway and airport maintenance in the Nome, Alaska area. - Government Buyer: - State of Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities (DOT&PF), Division of Facilities Services - Purchasing Office, Nome, Alaska - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) or vendors are named in the solicitation - Products/Services Requested: - On-call towing and recovery services for abandoned, disabled, or obstructing vehicles - Towing from roadways, rights-of-way, and airport areas - Winching and recovery from snowbanks, ditches, or off-road conditions - Vehicle relocation to support maintenance and snow removal - Recovery of locked or rollover vehicles - After-hours, urgent, and holiday response capability - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Contractor must provide all labor, equipment, and transportation - Service area is within five miles of Nome city limits, with possible requests beyond that distance upon approval - On-call availability with urgent response within one hour when available - Ability to respond during hazardous weather, after hours, and on state-recognized holidays - Contractor must maintain a vehicle capable of towing and recovering passenger vehicles and light-duty trucks under normal and winter conditions - Annual compensation not to exceed $30,000 per service year; maximum contract value up to $100,000 - Contract awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder

Description

This solicitation is for on-call towing and recovery services to support roadway and airport maintenance operations in the Nome area. The contractor will provide towing and recovery services including removal of abandoned, disabled, or obstructing vehicles, towing from roadways and airport areas, winching and recovery from snowbanks or ditches, and vehicle relocation to support maintenance and snow removal. Services are to be provided within five miles of the Nome city limits, with possible requests beyond that with prior approval. The contract term is from the date of award through June 30, 2027, with two one-year renewal options, and compensation shall not exceed $30,000 per service year.
