The City of Palm Desert is seeking experienced operators to manage and develop a recurring Farmers Market for the community. - Government Buyer: - City of Palm Desert, Economic Development Department - Scope of Services: - Develop, operate, and manage a weekly Farmers Market (October through May) - Prioritize participation of Certified California Farmers and agricultural producers - Recruit and verify vendors, ensuring all licenses, permits, insurance, and food safety requirements are met - Oversee site logistics, including setup, breakdown, cleanliness, traffic, parking, and emergency access - Lead community engagement, marketing, outreach, and programming to attract residents and visitors - Approve vendors and monitor market performance - Provide regular updates and seasonal reports to the City - Requirements: - Minimum three years of experience operating California Certified Farmers Markets - Demonstrated ability in community engagement and marketing - Compliance with ADA and all relevant regulations - No specific OEMs or product vendors are named; the opportunity is open to all qualified market operators meeting the requirements.
