Description

The Secretary waives the requirements in the Education Department General Administrative Regulations (EDGAR) that generally prohibit project period extensions involving the obligation of additional Federal funds. This final waiver and extension enables 39 projects under Assistance Listing Number (ALN) 84.144F to receive funding for up to one additional 12-month period, not to exceed September 30, 2027. The waiver supports continuation of services and coordination among grantees to address the needs of migratory children. No new competition will be held in FY 2026, and activities must be consistent with the approved applications from the FY 2023 competition.
