University of Missouri (MOREnet) Solicits Ethernet Data Transport Services for Statewide Education and Library Network

The University of Missouri, through its MOREnet division, is seeking proposals for Ethernet-based Data Transport Services to connect educational and library sites across Missouri to the MOREnet backbone network. - Government Buyer: - University of Missouri System, MOREnet division - Serves public libraries, schools, and educational institutions statewide - Products/Services Requested: - Ethernet bandwidth services at multiple locations, with bandwidths ranging from 20 Mbps to 10 Gbps - Example locations: Willard Branch Library, Ash Grove Branch, Strafford Branch, Bayless (St. Louis), Incarnate Word Academy (St. Charles), Library Center of the Ozarks (Branson) - Data transport circuits, including both tail circuits (from vendor to member site) and aggregation circuits (from vendor to MOREnet PoP facilities) - Installation, configuration, and activation of circuits, including provision of industry-standard termination equipment - Technical and Performance Requirements: - Compliance with ITU/IEEE/ANSI standards - Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for latency, packet loss, network availability, and jitter - Full bandwidth delivery and support for rate-limiting - Support for MOREnet's IP addressing and Quality of Service (QoS) markings - Participation in federal E-Rate and Universal Service Fund (USF) programs - Contract Structure: - Initial term of three years, with an automatic three-year extension (up to six years total) - Firm fixed pricing, inclusive of all fees - Awards may be made on a site-by-site basis, with the possibility of multiple vendors - No specific OEMs or vendors are named; the opportunity is open to all qualified network service providers capable of meeting the requirements.
