Dallas, GA: Shiloh Church Water Line and Sewer Service Construction Project

The City of Dallas, Georgia is seeking bids from qualified utility contractors for the Shiloh Church Water Line Improvements and Sewer Service Connection project. - Government Buyer: - City of Dallas Public Works Department, funded by the City of Dallas Downtown Development Authority - Scope of Work: - Installation of approximately 440 linear feet of new water main (8-inch ductile iron and PVC C900 DR 18) - Jack and bore installation of 70 linear feet of 16-inch steel casing (0.250-inch wall thickness) - Installation of mechanical joint tees, bends, and gate valves (8-inch) - Installation of fire meter precast concrete vault, fire hydrant, and associated connections - Installation of 2-inch PEX-A water service line, meter setter, and backflow preventer - Installation and connection of 6-inch PVC SDR 26 sewer service and cleanout - Aggregate bedding/backfill, solid rock excavation (if needed) - Traffic control, erosion and sediment control, and restoration of disturbed surfaces (asphalt, concrete, gravel, etc.) - Products/Materials: - 8-inch ductile iron pipe, 8-inch PVC C900 DR 18 pipe, 16-inch steel casing, 2-inch PEX-A pipe, 6-inch PVC SDR 26 pipe, mechanical joint fittings, valves, fire meter vault, hydrant, aggregate - Services: - Mobilization, installation, connection, excavation, traffic and erosion control, and site restoration - Notable Requirements: - Bidders must hold an active Georgia utility contractor's license and be on the City's approved list - The City will furnish and purchase all primary materials; contractors provide labor, equipment, and installation - Substantial completion required within 30 days; final completion within 60 days; $500/day liquidated damages for late completion - No specific OEMs or brand names are specified; materials must meet project specifications

The City of Dallas is soliciting competitive sealed bids from qualified, responsive, and responsible bidders holding an active utility contractors license in Georgia and listed on the City of Dallas approved utility contractors list. The procurement is for the purchase and installation of water lines and sewer service connection for the Shiloh Church water line improvement and sewer service connection project. This project is funded by the City of Dallas Downtown Development Authority. Bids must be submitted in duplicate and received by 10:00 am on July 15, 2026, at Dallas City Hall, where they will be publicly opened and read aloud.
