Description

The Village of Saranac Lake, in partnership with the Adirondack North Country Association, is soliciting proposals to create a Climate Vulnerability Assessment and Climate Adaptation Plan for the community. The project includes managing the development and dissemination of these documents, addressing vulnerable populations and infrastructure, regional climate impacts, and climate-ready solutions. The goal is to include diverse local voices, inform and prepare the community for climate change, incorporate climate resilience and adaptation into policy and strategic planning, and position the village for continued grant funding to achieve silver certification. Deliverables include draft and final assessments and plans, public workshops, surveys, and project coordination meetings.
