The U.S. Government Publishing Office (GPO) is seeking to modernize its security screening infrastructure by procuring multiple X-ray screening systems for various locations. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Government Publishing Office (GPO), Agency Acquisitions, Room A530 - Contact: WEBB, JASMIN A - Products Requested: - Nine X-ray screening systems, including: - Five personnel/package screening units for Washington, DC posts - One mail room screening unit for Washington, DC - Two screening units for Main GPO (DC) and Stennis, MS (luggage, backpacks, medium parcels) - One pallet X-ray screening system for loading dock (large cargo) - All systems must meet specific dimensional, safety, and performance standards: - 100% duty cycle - Steel penetration capability (minimum 30 mm for pallet system) - High image resolution (minimum 3638 AWG for pallet system) - Compliance with federal safety and operational requirements - Services Requested: - Removal and disposal of existing equipment (if directed) - Delivery, installation, configuration, calibration, operational testing, and certification - On-site user training and provision of documentation, warranties, and support plans - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Systems must be delivered, installed, and operational by the end of the performance period - All units must operate on specified power requirements (120V or 208V 60Hz) - Load capacity and object size requirements for pallet system - Warranty and support plan provision - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the solicitation; the opportunity is open to qualified manufacturers of X-ray screening systems.

Description

The U.S. Government Publishing Office (GPO) currently operates legacy X-ray screening systems that are obsolete and no longer meet current security, safety, reliability, or operational requirements. These systems present increased risk due to reduced detection capability, limited parts availability, and diminished performance.

This project will replace existing systems with modern, high-performance X-ray screening equipment that enhances detection capabilities, improves operational efficiency, and ensures compliance with applicable federal standards. The upgraded systems will provide improved image resolution, increased reliability, and advanced functionality to support GPO’s security mission.

The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and transportation necessary to furnish, deliver, install, configure, test, and provide training for X-ray screening systems
