Hudson, NY Public Square Renovation – Comprehensive Construction Bid Opportunity

The City of Hudson Department of Public Works is seeking bids for a comprehensive renovation of Public Square (7th Street Park) in Hudson, NY. - Government Buyer: - City of Hudson, Department of Public Works - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or manufacturers are named; opportunity is open to qualified contractors able to provide all labor and materials - Products and Services Requested: - Demolition, removals, and salvage of site elements - Tree protection, removal, and pruning - Water and sewer utility installation (including drinking fountain fixture, manhole, piping) - Primary and secondary electric service and distribution (conduit, wiring, controls; coordination with National Grid) - LED site lighting (new and relocated fixtures, poles, conduit, wiring) - Earthwork, site grading, excavation, drainage - Granite, bluestone, and limestone curbing, edging, pillars, and pavements - Asphalt block pavement and compacted stone screenings with aluminum edging - Veterans’ Memorial uplighting, flagpole restoration, and foundations - Site furnishings (benches, tables, chairs, signage, dog waste stations) - Landscape plantings (shrubs, trees, topsoil, mulch, sod, seed) - Site restoration and cleanup (final cleaning, donor recognition plaque) - Bid Alternate: Utility vault for future fountain (excavation, foundation, prefabricated vault, accessories, sod, canopy trees) - Unit prices requested for additional pavement, curbing, and landscaping elements - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Single contract covering all trades - Bid security, performance and payment bonds required - Compliance with New York State certifications and grant requirements - No MWBE, SDVOB, or DBE goals set - Project funded in part by NYS Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation - Coordination with City DPW and National Grid for certain utilities - Detailed specifications for materials and workmanship - Contract duration is 270 days after Notice to Proceed; add alternate extends by 60 days

This solicitation is for the renovation of Public Square (7th Street Park) in Hudson, New York. The work includes demolition, removals, tree protection, erosion control, water and sewer utility services, electric service and LED site lighting, earthwork, granite and bluestone curbing and pavements, asphalt block pavement, compacted bluestone screenings with aluminum edging, Veterans' Memorial uplighting and flagpole work, site furnishings, and landscape plantings. The contract term is 270 days after the Notice to Proceed. The project is funded in part by a grant from the NYS Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation.
