Description

The County of Chemung Department of Social Services (DSS) is seeking proposals from qualified community agencies to provide two full-time caseworkers. These caseworkers will deliver intensive family or person-centered case management services focused on self-sufficiency, housing stability, and reducing reliance on Public Assistance. Referrals will be exclusively made by DSS for individuals and families currently receiving or applying for Public Assistance due to housing instability, income loss, or related barriers. The program aims to reduce or prevent ongoing reliance on Public Assistance by stabilizing housing, supporting income growth, and addressing barriers through strength-based, trauma-informed, and innovative practices.
