The 409th SCMS at Robins Air Force Base, GA is seeking to expand its list of qualified vendors to manufacture and deliver critical honeycomb panels for the C-5M Super Galaxy, a large US military cargo transport aircraft.
The Opportunity
There is an active contract strategy covering over 500 National Stock Numbers (NSNs) for C-5 honeycomb panels and the 409th SCMS is seeking to attract new, interested vendors to bid on these essential components.
Low-Volume, High-Value Procurements: Most orders are for small quantities, typically ranging from 1 to 10 units. Initial tooling and set-up costs are covered through a Material Related Set-up CLIN. No First Articles Required.
Required Capabilities
Seeking companies with the ability to manufacture and deliver complex, adhesive-bonded structural honeycomb panels. This requires:
Strict facility control for contamination, temperature, and humidity. Expertise in tracking adhesive life, autoclave operations, and bond line surface preparation. An experienced technical staff capable of interpreting aircraft loft data. Ability to deliver 3D models for any part or assembly derived from aircraft loft data.
Qualification Requirements
To be considered for an award, contractors must meet the following:
Source Qualification: Qualify in accordance with the Source Qualification Statement (SQS). Gain approval from the C-5 Engineering Division (AFLCMC/WLSEBA). Quality System: Maintain an ISO 9002 or AS9100 (or equivalent) certified quality system. System Registrations: Be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and the Enhanced Joint Certification Program (EJCP). System Certified: Level II, Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification Program (CMMC).

One-on-One Breakout Sessions
One-on-One Q&A Sessions will be available for vendors to meet directly with Government Contracting, Engineering, and Program Management personnel. Each session will last for a total of 30 minutes. Because there are only 12 slots available, they will be allocated strictly on a first-come, first-served basis.
To reserve a session, you must request your intent during the registration process. If a slot is still available, a member of the Government team will contact you directly to notify you of your assigned time.
