City of Miami Gardens Chilled Water Piping Replacement Project

The City of Miami Gardens is seeking qualified contractors to perform a comprehensive replacement of all chilled water (CHW) distribution piping at its municipal complex. - Government Buyer: - City of Miami Gardens (Miami-Dade County, FL) - Scope of Work: - Complete removal and replacement of existing CHW piping in the central chiller plant, city hall (multi-story with council chambers), police department building (multi-story), and connecting parking garage - New piping must follow the same routing and location as the current system, per provided drawings - Products & Materials: - Steel schedule 40 piping with welded joints (for chilled water distribution) - 1 1/2” foam glass insulation with aluminum jacket (for all chilled water pipes) - Insulation for all condenser water piping - Services Requested: - Full HVAC piping replacement and installation, including insulation - Notable Requirements: - Contractors must be capable of large-scale HVAC piping replacement - Technical specifications, bid forms, and contract documents are provided - No specific OEMs or brands are mandated; open to all qualified providers

Description

This solicitation is for the complete replacement of all existing chilled water distribution piping throughout the Miami Gardens municipal complex, including the central chiller plant building, city hall, police department building, and connecting parking garage. The new piping will match the routing and location of the existing system and will be made of steel schedule 40 with welded joints. All chilled water pipes will be insulated with 1 1/2" foam glass insulation and aluminum jacket, and all condenser water piping will be insulated. A mandatory pre-bid conference and site visit will be held on July 15, 2026.
