Description

This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. It is not a solicitation or a request for offers. The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Forest Service, Kisatchie National Forest, intends to issue a sole source award to Helifire, LLC dba Field Support Services (FSS) for 50 boxes of Plastic Spheres for Aerial Ignition (Dragon Eggs) for use by the USDA Forest Service located at Shreveport Highway, HWY 71, Pineville, LA 71360.

This purchase will be conducted using Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106‑1(b), which permits sole source awards when only one responsible source is capable of providing the required supplies or services at the necessary level of quality because the supplies or services are unique or highly specialized.

Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement no later than July 21, 2026, at 10:00 AM (EST). Responses must include clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government.

Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government reserves the right to make the determination not to compete this proposed award based on the responses received. No reimbursement will be provided for any costs associated with submitting capability information.
