SUBJECT: Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source Order for OEM Reduction Gear Inspection Service Onboard CGC Raymond Evans

1. ANNOUNCEMENT

The United States Coast Guard (USCG), Surface Forces Logistics Center (SFLC), announces its intent to award a sole-source purchase order to ZF Marine Propulsion Systems Miramar, LLC. for an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) Reduction Gear Inspection Service. This action is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures.

2. PURPOSE OF THIS NOTICE

This notice serves to inform industry of the government's intent to award this requirement on a sole-source basis and to conduct market research to identify other sources that may be capable of satisfying this requirement. This is not a Request for Quotation (RFQ), and the government does not intend to issue a contract based on responses to this notice alone.

3. REQUIREMENT DETAILS & ATTACHMENTS

The USCG requires an OEM Reduction Gear Inspection as specified in the attached Statement of Work (SOW). Interested parties must demonstrate the ability to provide a part that is fully equivalent in form, fit, and function to the specified OEM item.

Please note the following documents are attached to this posting for review:

Statement of Work (SOW): Details the technical requirements of the OEM Priming Valve. Justification for Other Than Full and Open Competition: Details the government's rationale for pursuing a sole-source award. Sole Proprietor Letter: Documentation from the OEM establishing their sole-source status.
