This opportunity is for a specialist service contract supporting the U.S. Naval Medical Research Unit EURAFCENT (NAMRU-EAC) Vector Biology Research Program (VBRP): - Government Buyer: - U.S. Naval Medical Research Unit EURAFCENT (NAMRU-EAC), Vector Biology Research Program (VBRP) - Services Requested: - Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and Ecological Niche Modeling (ENM) Specialist services - Support for mapping and prediction modeling of insect and tick vectors in AFRICOM, CENTCOM, and EUCOM regions - Deliverables include monthly reports, data sheets, training for field personnel, and risk maps of arbovirus transmission - Requirements: - Contractor must have a PhD in Ecology - Extensive experience with GIS software and ecological niche modeling - Fieldwork expertise required - Work is remote with monthly meetings in Cairo - No specific OEMs or commercial vendors are named - No product part numbers or hardware/software purchases are specified; this is a services-only requirement - Period of performance is one base year (12 months) with two option years

This is a Presolicitation Notice of the Government's intent to issue a solicitation for a NPSC( non personal service contract ) for  GEOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION SYSTEMS (GIS) and  ECOLOGICAL NICHE MODELING (ENM) SPECIALIST for  the Vector Biology Research program (VBRP) research activities  for support of NAMRU-EAC vector surveillance.
