The Fleet Readiness Center, under NAVAIR and the Department of the Navy, is seeking industry input on polymer-based additive manufacturing (AM) systems. - Government Buyer: - Department of the Navy - Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) - Fleet Readiness Center - Purpose: - Request for information (RFI) on commercially available polymer-based AM systems - Intended for shipboard, land-based, expeditionary, and developmental operations - Requirements: - Technology refresh for existing Tier 1 and Tier 2 AM systems - Focus on improved reliability and enhanced material capabilities - Systems must support a range of operational environments - No specific OEMs, vendors, products, part numbers, or quantities are identified in the request - The RFI is for market research only; no procurement or award is currently planned

Description

NAVAIR seeks information from industry regarding commercially available polymer-based additive manufacturing systems capable of supporting shipboard, land-based, expeditionary, and developmental operations.  The current polymer additive manufacturing (AM) systems, deployed to various Fleet Readiness Centers and operational units as Tier 1 and Teir 2 AM systems, require a technology refresh to address evolving operational needs, improve reliability, and enhance material capabilities.
