Description

Hillsborough County intends to recommend the award of a sole source procurement to Thomas Water Purification LLC, d/b/a Purification Technologies, for ongoing and as-needed maintenance services on currently utilized deionized water systems for two years at an estimated cost of $76,530. The critical equipment includes the MBR-1447 deionizer unit, CAR-1252 carbon unit, and MBR-1447(P) polishing unit, essential for meeting Type I water requirements for analytical testing. Thomas Water Purification LLC is the only vendor capable of ensuring Type I water supply, as they own the tanks to be serviced and are the authorized servicer of the current equipment. The procurement is made in accordance with Section 3-205(e) of the County’s Procurement Policy, with the County reserving the right to extend the period, adjust scope, and increase the award based on changing conditions.
