Description

The U.S. Department of State's Embassy in the Philippines is offering a professional exchange program to bring approximately twelve high-merit educators from the Philippines, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and Brunei to the United States. The program focuses on immersive exposure to American approaches to AI and educational technology integration in English language instruction. Participants include university professors, language instructors, academic administrators, curriculum planners, teacher trainers, and ministry officials with policy influence. The two-week exchange spans at least two U.S. cities and includes academic sessions, site visits to AI and EdTech companies, engagement with civil society organizations, and attendance at SXSW EDU in Austin, Texas. Each participant will develop an action plan to implement American-aligned AI and EdTech approaches in their home institutions, supported by a sustained professional network and post-program follow-up.
