This opportunity seeks contractors for scheduled and emergency excavation and sanitary sewer piping repair services for the Town of Southington, Connecticut. - Government Buyer: - Town of Southington, Office of the Town Manager, Engineering Department - Scope of Work: - Scheduled repairs during normal business hours (Monday–Friday, 7am–5pm) - Emergency repairs on an on-call basis, with a required response time of one hour from notification - Work includes all labor, materials, equipment, and supplies for excavation and sanitary sewer piping repairs - Pavement restoration (up to and beyond 90 square feet) - Provision of certified flagmen for traffic control, as directed by the Town Engineer - Contractors must provide a list of available equipment and rates, including bypass pumping sizes and capacities - Materials are to be provided on a cost-plus markup basis - Other work may be performed on a cost-plus basis - Notable Requirements: - Compliance with Connecticut DOT Form 819 specifications - Emergency work must proceed uninterrupted until completion - Emphasis on timely response and coordination with Town Police for traffic control - Contract term is one year, renewable up to three years with a 3% annual COLA cap - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or manufacturers are mandated; all qualified contractors may bid - Quantities and Line Items: - Hourly rates for scheduled and emergency repair work (including Sundays, holidays, evenings) - Minimum call-in time for each service call - Lump sum and unit pricing for pavement restoration - Hourly rate for certified flagman - Cost-plus markup for materials and other work
