Description

In accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA), the Arizona State Museum, University of Arizona, has completed an inventory of human remains and determined a cultural affiliation between the remains and Indian Tribes or Native Hawaiian organizations. The inventory includes human remains representing at least one individual with no associated funerary objects. The museum has identified a reasonable connection between the remains and the Hopi Tribe of Arizona and the Zuni Tribe of the Zuni Reservation, New Mexico. Repatriation of the human remains may occur on or after August 7, 2026, and requests for repatriation must be submitted to the authorized representative at the Arizona State Museum.
