Description

The Denver Art Museum has completed an inventory of associated funerary objects in accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA). The museum has determined a cultural affiliation between these funerary objects and Indian Tribes or Native Hawaiian organizations. The inventory includes ceramic vessels acquired from Apache County, Arizona, and a dog effigy jar purchased in Arkansas. Repatriation of these objects may occur on or after August 7, 2026, and requests for repatriation must be sent to the Denver Art Museum.
