Description

This notice announces the virtual meeting of the Advisory Panel on Hospital Outpatient Payment on Monday, August 24, 2026. The Panel advises the Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services on the clinical integrity of the Ambulatory Payment Classification groups and their associated weights, which are major elements of the Medicare Hospital Outpatient Prospective Payment System and the Ambulatory Surgical Center payment system, and supervision of hospital outpatient therapeutic services. The meeting is open to the public and will be held virtually from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time. Presentations and comment letters must be submitted by July 31, 2026, through the MEARIS system.
