The California Department of Parks & Recreation is seeking contractors for two major construction projects at Austin Creek State Recreation Area in Sonoma County, CA: - Project A: Water System Upgrades - Construction of a bolted stainless-steel water storage tank for Bullfrog Pond and Pond Farm Water System - Installation of a disinfection facility, domestic water booster pumps (Grundfos UPA Series or approved equal), chemical storage and feed system, magnetic flow meter, chlorine residual analyzer and controller, metering pump, and 2" stainless steel piping and fittings - Precast concrete utility building (acceptable manufacturers: Romtec, Easi-Set Buildings, Public Restroom Company, or approved equal) with electrical, instrumentation, programming, and testing for a complete, functional system - Electrical control panels, LED interior lighting, and all required stainless steel hardware and fasteners - Project B: Communications Structure Replacement - Construction and installation of a new structure and appurtenances to replace the existing communications structure at the McCray Ridge Repeater Site - Installation of Category 6 copper horizontal cabling (per TIA standards, BICSI certified installer required) - Complete electrical systems, grounding, and bonding - Key Requirements - Compliance with California building, fire, energy, electrical, green building, plumbing codes, and ADA standards - Mandatory 6% Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) participation and 5% Small Business Preference - Contractors must hold General Engineering (A) and General Building (B) licenses and be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations - Lump sum pricing for each project; detailed plans and specifications provided - No specific OEMs mandated except for certain components (e.g., Grundfos for pumps, Romtec/Easi-Set/Public Restroom Company for precast buildings), but "or approved equal" alternatives are allowed - All labor, materials, tools, and equipment to be provided by the contractor

Description

This solicitation is for the construction of a water tank and appurtenances (Project A) and the construction and installation of a structure and appurtenances to replace an existing communications structure (Project B) at Austin Creek State Recreation Area in Sonoma County, California. The project requires mandatory job showing and compliance with the Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise Program with a minimum 6% participation goal. A 5% Small Business Preference is granted to certified small businesses. Contractors must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations as per California Labor Code requirements.
