Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District, intends to issue an Invitation for Bids (IFB) solicitation that will result in a Firm-Fixed-Price contract for construction services for building repairs at the Wilson and Kanopolis Lake Projects in the Ellsworth, Russell, and Lincoln Counties of Kansas. The work includes, but is not limited to, removing and replacing existing roofs on two facilities with standing seam roofs , removing and replacing the guttering and downspouts, adding additional flashing and siding, and stripping and performing preparation and painting of facilities/buildings across both lakes. It will be solicited and evaluated in accordance with Revolutionary Federal Acquisition Regulation Overhaul (RFO) Part 14.
The estimated period of performance for completion of the awarded contract is 270 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed (NTP).
The estimated magnitude of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000.
This procurement will be solicited as a 100% total small business set aside utilizing the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 238160 - Roofing Contractors, an SBA size standard of $19M. The Product Service Code (PSC) is Z2JZ – Repair or Alteration of Miscellaneous Buildings.
All responsible sources may submit a bid, which will be considered by the agency Contracting Officer. RFO Subpart 9.2 Qualification Requirements will not apply to this acquisition.
The solicitation is expected to be available not less than 15 days after the posting of this notice, but within the next 30 days. Bids are expected to be due within 30 days after the solicitation release date unless solicitation amendments extend the due date and time. The due date and time will be specified in the solicitation.
There will be a site visit planned for this solicitation. The details to attend the site visit will be included in the solicitation. Once the solicitation is posted, plans and drawings will be provided through Projnet at www.projnet.org/.
