Description

This is a Portfolio Acquisition Executive (PAE) for Robotic and Autonomous Systems (RAS) announcement. The Navy is pleased to announce the next marketplace opening for the Medium Unmanned Surface Vessel (MUSV) family of systems (FoS) program. The Navy intends to release a Request for Prototype Proposal (RPP) by 01 August 2026. The RPP will include detailed requirements for high-capacity MUSV solutions used for logistics support and capable of transporting containerized payloads.MUSV uses modular design principles to create adaptable and resilient solutions that can effectively counter evolving threats. Interested parties with expertise in vessel construction, autonomy, perception systems and complex maritime problem solving experience are invited to participate in this opportunity. To accelerate the design, development and demonstration of MUSV High-Capacity capabilities, the Navy will utilize the Other Transaction Authority as outlined in Title 10 U.S.C. 4022. It is intended that this solicitation will result in the award(s) of prototype projects, which will demonstrate operational capability that can be rapidly fielded. This effort is intended to focus on relevance, maturity, feasibility, performance, and affordability of the proposed vessel solutions. The Navy?s formal Request for Prototype Proposal will provide more detailed information and will be available on SAM.gov. Agreements Officer: Christopher J.
