This opportunity is for the rental and operation of a mobile heavy crane to support aircraft recovery at Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Air Force, 366th Maintenance Squadron (366 MXS), Mountain Home Air Force Base - Service Requested: - Mobile Duty Heavy Crane rental and operation for emergency aircraft recovery - Crane must be highway-legal, self-propelled, hydraulic, with at least 90-ton lifting capacity and 100-foot boom reach - Contractor must provide 24/7/365 emergency mobilization, arriving within 48 hours of notification - Includes labor, supervision, rigging hardware (excluding aircraft-specific slings), fuel, transportation, and administrative supplies - Products/Equipment: - Mobile Duty Heavy Crane (minimum 90-ton, 100-foot boom) - Government Furnished Property: aircraft lifting slings, transport trailer, semi-truck with military driver - Unique Requirements: - Compliance with OSHA, environmental, and security standards - Contractor must maintain ongoing annual training and certifications (e.g., JKO Level I AT) - Operations within a 250-mile radius of Mountain Home AFB - 30-day transition period post-award, then full emergency dispatch responsibility - Normal operations Monday-Friday, 7:00 am to 4:30 pm MST, excluding federal holidays

Description

The 366th Maintenance Squadron (366 MXS), Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho (MHAFB) is responsible for the recovery of crashed, damaged, and disabled aircraft. In the event of a crash, the Contractor shall mobilize a Mobile Duty Heavy Crane capable of lifting at least 90 tons under the supervision of the Aircraft Recovery (AR) Team Chief.
